Kayleigh Long
is a writer based in Southeast Asia. She first moved to Myanmar shortly after pre-publication censorship was lifted in 2012, working at local English-language newspaper The Myanmar Times for several years before making the move to full-time freelancing
She covered the country's landmark 2015 elections in the northwestern Rakhine State. She has a keen interest in human rights and conflict, and continues to work in Myanmar and in Southeast Asia more broadly.
